Today’s post is a little different than my usual hotel review. Instead of focusing on one stay, I’m looking back at the fastest hotel Wi-Fi I tested in 2025.

These rankings are based on real speed tests, in real hotel rooms — not advertised speeds, and not guesses. Every result here comes from my own stays and my own testing.

Let’s get into it!

How I Test Hotel Wi-Fi (Quick & Clear)

Before we jump into the rankings, here’s how these tests were done.

All Wi-Fi tests were completed on hotel networks using either my phone or my dad’s phone, and I always kept the fastest verified result for each property.

Devices used:

  • Samsung Galaxy S24
  • Samsung Galaxy A35

Testing method:

  • Speedtest by Ookla app
  • Multiple tests at different times of day
  • Best result recorded per stay

I also save screenshots of every test and track everything in one place.

Want to see how these results compare to every hotel I’ve tested? You can find full speed tests, rankings, and screenshots on my Hotel Wi-Fi Speed Leaderboard.

Alright — let’s count it down.

#5 – Courtyard Titusville Kennedy Space Center

📍 Titusville, Florida
⬇️ 234 Mbps down | ⬆️ 205 Mbps up | 🕒 12 ms ping

I was honestly really happy with this result.

This hotel already delivers on location, views, and overall experience — so it was great to see the Wi-Fi match that quality. These speeds were fast, reliable, and more than enough for streaming, uploads, and everyday use.

#4 – Buffalo Marriott at LECOM HARBORCENTER

📍 Buffalo, New York
⬇️ 237 Mbps down | ⬆️ 192 Mbps up | 🕒 15 ms ping

This one surprised me.

For a busy downtown hotel connected to an arena, the Wi-Fi here was impressively fast and consistent. It handled everything I threw at it without issues.

#3 – AC Hotel Lansing University Area

📍 Lansing, Michigan
⬇️ 322 Mbps down | ⬆️ 442 Mbps up | 🕒 8 ms ping

This hotel clearly knew their internet was fast — and they weren’t wrong.

That upload speed is huge, especially for content creators, cloud backups, and video calls. Combined with low ping and strong stability, this was one of the most impressive setups I tested all year.

#2 – Hyatt House Lansing / University Area

📍 Lansing, Michigan
⬇️ 386 Mbps down | ⬆️ 384 Mbps up | 🕒 8 ms ping

Another Lansing hotel with seriously strong Wi-Fi.

Fast downloads, fast uploads, and low ping across the board. This is the kind of hotel internet that makes working, gaming, and streaming from a room completely stress-free.

#1 – The Insignia Hotel, Sarnia, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel

📍 Sarnia, Ontario
⬇️ 458 Mbps down | ⬆️ 292 Mbps up | 🕒 7 ms ping

And taking the top spot for 2025…

This Wi-Fi was elite.

Low ping, extremely fast speeds, and incredible consistency. Whether you’re gaming, streaming, uploading videos, or doing schoolwork, this connection handled everything with ease.

As of right now, The Insignia Hotel in Sarnia holds the crown for the fastest hotel Wi-Fi I tested in 2025.

Honourable Mentions

These just missed the Top 5 — but are still faster than what most hotels offer:

#6 – Dearborn Inn, Autograph Collection
⬇️ 192 Mbps down | ⬆️ 161 Mbps up | 🕒 5 ms ping

#7 – TownePlace Suites Brantford & Conference Centre
⬇️ 140 Mbps down | ⬆️ 158 Mbps up | 🕒 6 ms ping

Both were very solid performers and easily above average compared to typical hotel Wi-Fi.

Why This Matters

One thing I’m really proud of is my Hotel Wi-Fi Speed Leaderboard.

I don’t see many people testing hotel Wi-Fi this consistently — using the same method, the same tools, and tracking everything from one source with real screenshots to back it up.

Wi-Fi matters.
Especially for teens, gamers, families, students, and anyone who needs reliable internet while traveling.

Honestly, I’d love to test even more hotels — and I hope more properties start paying attention to how important good Wi-Fi really is.

Looking Ahead

I’m really curious to see which hotel — if any — will dethrone this Top 5.

And I’m especially excited to see whether one of my future stays ends up claiming the number one spot.

If you found this helpful, make sure you’re following along — because I’ll keep testing, ranking, and calling out hotel Wi-Fi the way it should be done.

See you in the next one.
