This Courtyard Titusville Kennedy Space Center hotel review covers one of my favourite hotels I have ever stayed at — including the space theming, rooftop Space Bar, Luna the robot butler, rocket launch views, resort-style pool, fast Wi-Fi, Nintendo Switch setup, river-view room, and why this hotel feels completely different from an ordinary Courtyard.

My family and I stayed at the Courtyard by Marriott Titusville Kennedy Space Center in Titusville, Florida for three nights during my Epic Summer 2025 Road Trip, where we travelled for 19 days and stayed at 14 different hotels.

But this was not our first stay here.

We have visited this hotel several times, and it has become one of my family’s favourite places to stay — not only near Kennedy Space Center, but anywhere.

From the space theming and incredible staff to Luna the robot butler, a resort-style pool, fast Wi-Fi, and a rooftop bar where we watched a SpaceX rocket launch at almost four in the morning, there is a lot that makes this hotel different from a normal Courtyard.

So, is the Courtyard Titusville Kennedy Space Center one of the best hotels near Kennedy Space Center? For this Courtyard Titusville Kennedy Space Center hotel review, I wanted to explain why this property has become one of my family’s favourite hotels anywhere — not just on Florida’s Space Coast.

Let’s get into it.

Courtyard Titusville Kennedy Space Center Hotel Review: Arrival & First Impressions

Driving up to the Courtyard Titusville Kennedy Space Center is always exciting because the building looks completely different from any other Courtyard I have stayed at.

The exterior has bold colours and design details that immediately make the hotel stand out.

As soon as you walk through the entrance, you are immersed in the space theme.

To the right is the dedicated express elevator to The Space Bar, with a sign asking whether you are “Ready for Liftoff.” Nearby, you will also find the Astronaut Signature Wall, which is one of the first signs that this is not going to feel like an ordinary hotel stay.

The lobby is large, bright, and open, with views through the back of the hotel toward the courtyard and the Indian River.

To the left of the entrance is a large seating area, a replica rocket, and telescopes that guests can rent. The Bistro and its main seating area are also located on this side of the lobby.

To the right, you will find the front desk and the hotel market. The market sells snacks, drinks, and a surprisingly good selection of NASA souvenirs, which adds even more to the hotel’s theme.

Near the front desk is a screen displaying the latest rocket-launch schedule. It is updated frequently, which is especially helpful because many guests stay here hoping to see a launch during their visit.

Luna the Robot Butler

You will also probably meet one of the hotel’s most popular team members: Luna, the robot butler.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, and I always enjoy seeing Luna travelling around the lobby. Staff can use her to deliver items directly to guest rooms, and she is even able to ride the elevator by herself.

Luna can also escort guests to their rooms, and during this stay, I got her to lead me to mine.

Watching her navigate the hotel and seeing other guests react to her is always fun, especially when someone is meeting her for the first time.

You really never know who or what you might encounter at this hotel.

During one of my earlier visits, I even met an actual rocket scientist while riding the elevator to my room.

Space Details Throughout the Lobby

Throughout the lobby, you will find even more space-themed details, including astronaut artwork, a NASA astronaut statue, and a digital smartboard.

The smartboard is a fun and unique feature that you see while heading toward the guest rooms. You can look at the messages and drawings left by other guests, then add one of your own.

During our stay, I wrote a message saying that This Teen Travelz had visited the Courtyard Titusville.

Stephanie and Iris greeted us when we arrived and handled our check-in. The process was fast and easy, and they were both friendly, helpful, and able to answer all of our questions.

The Courtyard Titusville is managed by Delaware North, the same company that manages The Westin Buffalo, another hotel I have reviewed and really enjoyed. Based on my experiences at both properties, Delaware North has become one of my favourite hotel management companies.

From the moment we arrived, the hotel immediately reminded me why my family keeps coming back.

The space theming is detailed without feeling overdone, the lobby has plenty to explore, and the experience feels connected to Titusville, NASA, and Kennedy Space Center before you even reach your room.

Room Tour: Two Queen Studio With Sofa Bed

My dad originally booked a traditional two-queen river-view room.

For anyone familiar with Marriott Bonvoy, he then used one of his Nightly Upgrade Awards, and we were upgraded to a two-queen studio with a sofa bed.

As soon as we entered, the room felt bright, clean, and much larger than a typical Courtyard room. There was plenty of space for my family to spread out during our three-night stay.

Immediately to the left was the bathroom. Farther into the room was the living area, which included a sofa bed, ottoman, armchair, and side table.

On the opposite side was a good-sized desk with one of the room’s two large TVs mounted above it, along with a luggage stand.

A cabinet area helped divide the living and sleeping spaces. It held the coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge, with additional storage underneath.

The bedroom area had two queen beds, another large TV, a dresser, and an extra chair.

Having two TVs was a great feature because it allowed different members of my family to use each side of the room without everyone needing to watch the same thing.

Hubble Mural and Galaxy Projector

Behind the beds was one of the room’s coolest design features: a large space mural.

The hotel uses five different murals throughout its guest rooms, and the images were taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. It is a small detail, but it helps make the room feel connected to the hotel’s overall space theme.

One of my favourite amenities was the astronaut galaxy projector included in the room.

When the lights were turned off, it projected colourful lights across the walls and ceiling and completely changed the atmosphere of the room.

My sister and I liked this feature so much during our first stay that we each ended up buying one for our own bedrooms at home.

Bathroom, River View and Binoculars

The bathroom was a decent size and included a stand-up shower. The water pressure and temperature were both good, and the space was clean and in good condition.

Because we had a river-view room, we also had binoculars available inside the room.

The hotel does charge a fee if they go missing, so make sure you bring them back to the room before checking out.

The binoculars are a great amenity for looking across the Indian River toward Kennedy Space Center and the NASA complex. They are also perfect for watching rocket launches from your room or bringing up to The Space Bar.

From our room, we could see the Vehicle Assembly Building and one or two launch pads in the distance.

One afternoon, we even used the binoculars to watch dolphins swimming in the river below.

The room combined practical features with some genuinely memorable details.

The extra space, two TVs, microwave, mini fridge, river view, Hubble mural, galaxy projector, and binoculars all made this feel much more unique than a standard Courtyard room.

Wi-Fi & Gaming Setup

Next up, Wi-Fi and gaming.

I had stayed at this hotel several times before, but this was actually the first visit where I tested the connection using Ookla Speedtest.

Because this is one of my favourite hotels, I was honestly a little nervous that the result might not live up to my expectations.

Instead, the Wi-Fi completely surpassed them.

Connecting was quick and easy across all of my devices, including my phone, laptop, iPad, and Nintendo Switch.

Using Ookla Speedtest, I recorded 234 Mbps download and 205 Mbps upload.

At the time of recording, that placed the Courtyard Titusville at number seven on my Hotel Wi-Fi Speed Leaderboard.

Those speeds were more than strong enough for streaming, uploading, browsing, and gaming during our stay. You can find my complete and updated hotel Wi-Fi rankings on ThisTeenTravelz.com.

Nintendo Switch Setup

Connecting my Nintendo Switch to either TV was also simple.

Both TVs were mounted on swing-out brackets, which made the ports much easier to reach. There were also electrical outlets located right beside both TVs, so I did not have to stretch cables across the room or move furniture around.

I connected the HDMI cable from my Nintendo Switch dock to the Marriott Entertainment System box. From the television menu, I selected “My Media” and then “HDMI Direct Connect,” and my Switch appeared on the screen.

The entire process was fast and straightforward, with no need to unplug hotel equipment or search behind a wall-mounted television.

Because our studio room had two TVs, I could also use my Nintendo Switch on one side of the room while someone else watched something different on the other.

Between the excellent Wi-Fi speeds, accessible HDMI connection, nearby outlets, swing-out TV mounts, and two separate televisions, this was one of the easiest hotel gaming setups I have used.

Pool Vibes and Fitness Centre

Next up, pool vibes.

The Courtyard Titusville has a heated, resort-style outdoor pool and a hot tub, and this has become one of my family’s favourite hotel pool areas.

One of the best features is the zero-entry section on one side of the pool. Instead of needing to use stairs or a ladder, you can gradually walk into the water.

That makes it useful for younger children, guests with mobility concerns, or anyone who simply prefers an easier way to enter the pool.

The pool also has multiple depths, so it works well for different ages and swimming abilities.

The zero-entry side connects to a splash area with water blasters and a mushroom water feature, which adds another family-friendly element to the space.

Depending on when you visit, the hotel may also have pool accessories available, including pool noodles, floaties, and a volleyball net.

There are plenty of loungers spread around the pool deck. Along one side, you will also find cabanas with sofas that guests can use, as well as tables, chairs, and umbrellas.

The pool area includes a few activities outside the water too, including cornhole and a ping-pong table.

During certain weekends and busier seasonal periods, the hotel also opens the Splashdown Pool Bar, making the pool area feel even more like a small resort.

The entire space overlooks the back courtyard and the Indian River, which helps make it feel much more relaxing than a typical roadside hotel pool.

Just remember that this is Florida. We even saw an alligator warning sign posted near the river, so definitely enjoy the view from the proper areas and do not try to go swimming outside the hotel pool.

Fitness Centre

The hotel also has a 24-hour fitness centre.

The gym was large, bright, clean, and had plenty of open space to move around. During the day, it also had views toward the courtyard and Indian River.

For cardio equipment, there were four treadmills, two ellipticals, an exercise bike, and two Peloton bikes.

For strength training, the gym included a leg press, fixed pulldown machine, chest press, multigym, dumbbell rack, weight benches, kettlebells, and yoga equipment.

That is a very solid equipment selection for a Courtyard, especially compared with hotel gyms that only provide a few treadmills and a small set of weights.

The fitness centre also continues the hotel’s space theme with a large mural showing the Space Shuttle lifting off.

Between the heated resort-style pool, hot tub, splash features, cabanas, outdoor games, pool bar, and well-equipped gym, this hotel offers much more for families than I normally expect from the Courtyard brand.

Food at Courtyard Titusville Kennedy Space Center

For food, there are several options both inside the hotel and around Titusville.

The Bistro and Hotel Market

The hotel has The Bistro, which is the Courtyard brand’s in-house restaurant. It serves breakfast in the morning and food and drinks later in the day.

One night during our stay, my sister and I ordered the grilled cheese with tomato soup. It was simple, but it was really good and worked perfectly when we wanted something convenient without leaving the hotel.

The hotel market is another option for snacks and drinks. It also has a decent selection of NASA and space-themed souvenirs, so it feels like more than a typical Courtyard market.

The Space Bar

The most unique dining experience at the hotel is definitely The Space Bar.

Located on the rooftop of the Courtyard Titusville Kennedy Space Center, The Space Bar is a space-themed restaurant and bar with incredible views across the Indian River toward the Kennedy Space Center launch area.

I have never experienced another themed hotel restaurant quite like this one.

The experience begins before you even reach the rooftop.

The Space Bar has its own dedicated express elevator, and the hotel uses themed narration to make the ride feel like a launch.

As the elevator travels up, a voice comes over the speakers saying:

“Three, two, one — we have liftoff. Approaching The Space Bar. Arrival complete. Disembark carefully.”

The ride back down continues the experience:

“Hatch closing complete. Initiate descent. Arriving to planet Earth. Touchdown. Disembark carefully.”

It is a small detail, but it shows how much effort the hotel has put into carrying the space theme throughout the entire property.

Once you reach the rooftop, there is a mix of indoor and outdoor seating, space-themed artwork, lounge areas, and wide views over the Space Coast.

The Space Bar is especially popular on rocket-launch nights. It gives guests an elevated view toward the Kennedy Space Center launch pads without having to leave the hotel.

During this stay, a SpaceX Falcon 9 launch was scheduled for the night we arrived. After several delays, we stayed awake until almost four in the morning and watched the launch from the rooftop.

It was a very late night, but seeing the rocket lift off from The Space Bar was absolutely worth it.

I have been fortunate enough to watch launches from both The Space Bar and the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, and both experiences were amazing in different ways.

The food and service at The Space Bar have also been consistently good during our visits.

Even if there is no rocket launch scheduled, I think the rooftop views, theming, elevator experience, and atmosphere still make it worth visiting.

Food Around Titusville

Outside the hotel, Titusville has several local food spots that my family enjoys.

One of my favourites is Tastee Donuts.

These are honestly some of the best donuts I have ever tasted. The restaurant’s appearance can be a little misleading because the building may look closed even when it is actually open.

During our visit, it operated from 4:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. from Tuesday through Friday. The later you arrive, the smaller the selection may be, and on one previous trip, we learned that they can completely sell out.

Since we were already awake after watching the rocket launch, we went over early and bought a dozen donuts.

It was probably the only time staying awake until four in the morning actually helped us get breakfast.

Another local favourite is Chris’ Space Coast Ice Cream, an old-school walk-up ice cream shop with a large selection of flavours. It also serves Dole Whip and several other frozen treats.

For a classic Florida drive-in experience, there is the MoonLight Drive-In Diner.

This family-owned restaurant has been operating for three generations and has a fun 1960s-style design. You can eat inside, but it also offers traditional drive-in curb service.

The menu includes burgers, chili dogs, fries, milkshakes, and other classic diner food. We have enjoyed stopping here during our visits to Titusville.

During this trip, Debbie from the hotel recommended that we try Chow’s Country Buffet.

We followed her recommendation, and it did not disappoint.

The buffet combines homestyle dishes with Chinese-food favourites. There were more than 300 items to choose from, including fried catfish, barbecue ribs, teriyaki chicken, lo mein, fried rice, shrimp dishes, and a large dessert selection.

I enjoyed being able to try a little bit of everything, and the dessert area even had rocket pops, which felt appropriate for a restaurant near Kennedy Space Center.

Other local restaurants that were recommended to us included Sugar Shack BBQ, Playalinda Brewing Company, and El Leoncito in Titusville.

There are plenty of food choices around the hotel, but I think The Space Bar is the one experience guests should try not to miss.

There are not many hotels where you can eat on a space-themed rooftop, ride a narrated launch elevator, and possibly watch an actual rocket lift off in the distance.

Things to Do at the Hotel

There is a lot to do both at the hotel and around Titusville.

Starting at the property itself, the courtyard has several seating areas, fire tables, Adirondack chairs facing the Indian River, and games like cornhole.

The hotel also has telescopes available to rent from the lobby.

During one of our stays, a gentleman was giving a demonstration from The Space Bar using one of the hotel’s telescopes. I got to look through it and see an incredible close-up view of the moon.

That is exactly the kind of experience that makes this hotel feel connected to the Space Coast instead of just being themed from a distance.

Things to Do Near Courtyard Titusville Kennedy Space Center

Of course, the biggest attraction nearby is the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is one of the most famous space attractions in the world. It has historic spacecraft, immersive exhibits, astronaut experiences, launch areas, and the Space Shuttle Atlantis.

For anyone wondering where to stay near Kennedy Space Center, this hotel is in a great location for visiting the complex while still giving you views toward NASA and the launch area.

Here is a useful tip that many guests may not know: discounted tickets for the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex may be available directly through the hotel.

The hotel and the visitor complex are both managed by Delaware North, so check with the front desk before purchasing your tickets somewhere else. Availability and pricing can change, but it is definitely worth asking.

The hotel is also a useful option for guests travelling before or after a cruise.

Port Canaveral is approximately a 20- to 25-minute drive away, so many travellers use Titusville as part of a Space Coast or cruise vacation.

Cocoa Beach and Playalinda Beach

Another popular destination nearby is Cocoa Beach.

Cocoa Beach is known for its wide sandy shoreline, surf culture, and relaxed coastal atmosphere. It is a great option if you want to combine a Kennedy Space Center visit with some time at the beach.

The Cocoa Beach Pier stretches out over the Atlantic Ocean and includes restaurants, shops, fishing areas, and ocean views. We walked around the pier area and also visited the Rikki Tiki Tavern at the end.

Playalinda Beach is another great place to visit, especially if you want something quieter and less developed.

It is located within Canaveral National Seashore and has natural beaches, surfing, and views toward parts of the Kennedy Space Center launch area.

On a previous visit, I loved walking along the beach and being able to see some of the launch pads in the distance.

Because it is part of a national park, there is normally an entrance fee. Make sure to check the current operating information, access conditions, and pricing before visiting.

Space Shirts and Ron Jon Surf Shop

Two places my family visits on every trip are Space Shirts and Ron Jon Surf Shop.

Space Shirts is a locally owned shop on Merritt Island with a huge selection of space-themed merchandise. It sells NASA shirts, sweatshirts, hats, stickers, mission patches, limited-edition items, and custom apparel.

It is one of my favourite places to look for space souvenirs because the selection goes far beyond what you normally find in a basic gift shop, and the prices are also very affordable.

Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach is another must-stop for my family. We cannot leave the area without visiting at least once.

The store is massive, with two floors filled with surf gear, beach clothing, souvenirs, accessories, and displays. My family and I can easily lose track of time walking around because there is so much to see.

More Things to Do Around Titusville

For something indoors, Epic Theatres is only about a 10-minute drive from the hotel. It is a good option if you need to escape the heat, fill some time before a late rocket launch, or find something to do on a rainy day.

Other attractions around Titusville and the Space Coast include the American Space Museum and Walk of Fame, the Valiant Air Command Warbird Museum, and Space View Park.

Space View Park honours astronauts as well as the engineers, workers, and other people who helped support the United States space program. It is also another well-known place to gather for certain rocket launches.

There is honestly far more to do around this hotel than I could completely cover in one video.

This review took me a long time to put together because I love this hotel so much that I felt a little intimidated trying to do it justice. I wanted to capture everything that makes the property and the surrounding Space Coast special, but I know there may still be details or places I missed.

I will also do my best to keep this blog updated as I remember more from this trip or return to the area. Since this is one of my family’s favourite places to visit, I hope to come back one day and create a full revisit video.

I think this hotel is an excellent choice for families, space fans, people visiting Kennedy Space Center, guests hoping to watch a rocket launch, and travellers looking for somewhere to stay before or after a cruise from Port Canaveral.

It is also a great option for anyone who wants a hotel that feels like part of the destination instead of simply being a place to sleep.

From the moment you enter the lobby, the space theming, launch schedule, telescopes, astronaut artwork, Luna the robot butler, and views toward NASA all connect the stay to Florida’s Space Coast.

Standout Strength

The standout strength is the complete experience.

There are hotels near Kennedy Space Center that give you a convenient location, but this property offers so much more than that.

You can stay in a room with a Hubble Space Telescope mural, use binoculars to look toward the launch pads, ride a themed elevator to a rooftop bar, and possibly watch a real rocket launch without leaving the hotel.

Add in the resort-style pool, excellent Wi-Fi, easy gaming setup, large fitness centre, spacious rooms, and incredible staff, and this becomes much more than an ordinary Courtyard.

What to Know

As for an honest drawback, I genuinely struggled to find one.

The hotel is designed around the Space Coast experience, so it makes the most sense for travellers visiting Titusville, Kennedy Space Center, the cruise port, or the surrounding area.

If your trip is mainly focused on Orlando’s theme parks or you want to stay directly on the beach, another location may be more convenient.

But for the experience this hotel is trying to provide, I think it does an amazing job.

I have stayed at close to 150 hotels over my lifetime, and the Courtyard Titusville Kennedy Space Center is still one of my absolute favourites — possibly even my favourite hotel to visit.

I am a huge fan of this hotel, and every visit reminds me why it remains one of my favourite properties.

The theming is on point, the amenities are excellent, and the staff consistently make my family feel welcome every time we return.

I genuinely think this hotel is a hidden gem.

I talk about it all the time, but I am still surprised by how many people do not know about it. I have spoken with people from Orlando, Daytona Beach, and other parts of the surrounding area who had no idea how much this hotel offers.

Once I tell them about the space theming, Luna, the resort-style pool, the NASA views, and The Space Bar, they are usually really interested in checking it out.

For a hotel near Kennedy Space Center, I think this property deserves far more attention than it receives.
