First Impressions: Scenic Drive, Stylish Location

The drive into Brossard was amazing—we crossed a massive bridge over the St. Lawrence River and had a stunning nighttime view of downtown Montreal. Even though my photo didn’t turn out, the memory stuck.

The hotel is located inside Solar Uniquartier, a vibrant neighborhood packed with shops, restaurants, and easy access to the REM express train, which gets you to downtown Montreal in 15 minutes. That makes this a solid option if you don’t want to stay directly in downtown Montreal but still want quick access.

We passed through Quartier DIX30, Canada’s largest outdoor lifestyle center, which surrounds the hotel. Shopping fans, you’re in for a treat.

If you’re looking for a hotel near Quartier DIX30, this location is one of the biggest reasons to consider staying here.

Lobby & Check-In: Chill Setup, Missing Carts

The lobby was super spacious and way cooler than I expected for a Courtyard. It had:

  • A mini Starbucks
  • An Italian restaurant
  • Comfy cubbies with couches and big TVs

Check-in was fast and the staff were great, but here’s the downside: no luggage carts available. I had to go floor by floor with my sister and finally found one on the 7th floor. If you use a cart—return it! Be kind.

Shoutout to my dad for pointing out that this hotel has free indoor parking, which is a win in the winter months.

Room Tour: Massive Suite Upgrade = Win

We got upgraded to a Double Queen Suite, and WOW—it was huge. One of the largest hotel rooms I’ve stayed in.

Breakdown:

  • Living Room: Pull-out couch, comfy chair, ottoman, big TV (perfect for my Switch), large fridge, microwave, bar sink
  • Bedroom: Two queen beds, another big TV
  • Bathroom: Clean and modern, but had a tub instead of a stand-up shower

Everything was super clean, and the room had tons of space—but I wish there was a table and chairs for drawing or snacking.

Wi-Fi & Gaming Setup: Easy Hookup, Slow Speeds

Wi-Fi was easy to connect on all my devices (laptop, phone, iPad, Nintendo Switch), but the speed was disappointing. Browsing Instagram or TikTok? Fine. But gaming on Roblox? Nope.

I ran a speed test, and my cellular data was 3x faster than the hotel Wi-Fi. During my stay for this Courtyard Montreal Brossard review, this was easily the biggest downside.

That said, the Switch hookup was super easy, with two outlets and two USB ports right by the TV.

💡 Reminder: Always bring a power strip so you’re not fighting over outlets with your family.

Pool Vibes & Fitness

The indoor pool area was clean, bright, and warm (huge plus!). But there wasn’t much seating, which could be a problem if it gets busy.

The fitness center is right next to the pool with windows looking into it—good setup for teens who like to stay active.

Food & Restaurant Picks: Local Favorites

This Courtyard doesn’t have a Bistro, but the staff recommended a couple of nearby breakfast spots, including:

  • 🥐 Ange Bakery – A French bakery with tons of delicious options
  • 🍳 A nearby breakfast restaurant (perfect if you’re not into hotel food)

We skipped breakfast and went straight to lunch. Here’s where I recommend:

Mateo’s Top Picks (all within 5 minutes):

  • La Belle & La Boeuf – Great burgers, super fun atmosphere
  • La Cage – Sports bar right next to the hotel
  • Poulet Rouge – Healthy bowl options, great for something lighter
  • BeaverTails – A must for fried dough and sweet toppings
  • Chocolats Favoris – Soft-serve dipped in wild toppings (and take-home chocolate too!)
  • Mr. Puffs – Doughnut holes with all kinds of toppings = pure happiness

There’s also a Walmart and other grocery stores nearby, perfect for snack restocks.

Shopping & Entertainment Near This Brossard Hotel

This area is a shopper’s dream:

  • Tons of name-brand stores
  • A movie theater in the outdoor mall
  • And yes… GameStop (the only store that really matters, right?)

Also, great Pokémon GO zone if you’re like me and want to catch some shiny Pokémon while your mom and sister go shopping.

Final Verdict: Is the Courtyard Montreal Brossard Worth It?

The Courtyard Montreal Brossard is an awesome pick if you:

  • Love shopping
  • Want tons of food options nearby
  • Need a hotel that’s Nintendo Switch-friendly
  • Appreciate a massive room with space to chill and play

What’s holding it back from “Teen Must-Stay” status?
➡️ The slow Wi-Fi. That’s it.

But honestly? I still had a great time. From Mario Party marathons in the room to swimming in the warm pool, and crushing a burger at La Belle & La Boeuf—this was a solid stay.

Based on my stay, the biggest strengths were the huge room and location near Quartier DIX30—but the Wi-Fi performance is definitely something to keep in mind.

Whether you’re here for the shopping, the food, or the perfect gaming setup—pack your Switch, your power strip, and maybe a backup hotspot just in case.
Catch you in the next adventure!
