This Teen Travelz – 25 Hotel Reviews Celebration Special
How it started, where it’s going, and a whole lot of bloopers in between.
Sometimes you just have to hit pause and look back at how far you’ve come. That’s exactly what this post (and video) is all about.
Since launching This Teen Travelz in February 2025, I’ve reviewed 25 hotels across 2 countries, dozens of cities, and way too many moments of me saying “Let’s get into it!” with the wrong energy. 😂
So while this isn’t a traditional review, it’s one of the most important updates I’ve ever shared. Because this milestone? It means everything to me.
How It Started: Daytona to Dignity-Free Bloopers
My very first hotel review dropped on February 6, 2025, with The Daytona Autograph Collection. Back then, I had no idea what I was doing — I just knew I loved hotels and wanted to share my experiences from a teen perspective.
Since then, I’ve filmed across cities big and small, in hotels with skybridges, colonial houses, rooftop patios, and even one that had a window inside the bathroom.
Also… if you’ve ever seen my outtakes, you know this channel could have been called:
“This Teen Messes Up His Lines… A Lot.”
Fan Favorites & Standout Moments
Some hotel reviews really took off — both on YouTube and in my own travel memories. These are a few of the biggest highlights so far:
- The Dearborn Inn – My 100th Marriott property stay. Presidential Suite tour. Amazing staff. Total core memory.
- Kingston Marriott Hotel – One of my top stays in Canada. Super modern and full of helpful staff.
- The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit – Stunning views, club lounge vibes, and my favorite bathroom window moment ever.
Also… Courtyard Montreal Brossard changed everything. That’s where I filmed my first full walk-through and realized how much better my reviews could be if I showed every part of the hotel, from console hookups to closet lighting.
Funniest Moments: The Bloopers Are Eternal
If you’ve made it to the end of any of my reviews, you know what’s coming…
The bloopers.
The stumbles.
The “WHY CAN’T I SAY THIS LINE” moments.
It’s chaos. It’s honest. And it’s become one of my favorite things to include. They make the videos more real — and trust me, they keep me humble.
Big Thanks to My Travel Crew
This milestone wouldn’t be possible without my family (and probably 5,000 hours of editing help).
To my mom – Thank you for naming This Teen Travelz, planning every trip with military precision, and reminding me that lighting matters.
To my dad – Thank you for teaching me how to edit, building my website, and helping me survive Google Search Console.
To every hotel staff member – From housekeepers to front desk agents and sales managers, thank you for making each stay memorable. I always try to give shoutouts where they’re due — and some of you have made a huge impact on me.
What’s Next for This Teen Travelz
This summer’s been packed with new hotel stays — especially across Michigan, where I filmed a bunch of fresh content. And even though I’ve already reviewed 25 hotels, there are many more in the backlog (and a few I haven’t even edited yet).
Plus, I’ve got a few surprises coming. Year-end wrap-up? Maybe. Ranking videos? Probably. But for now, I’m focused on getting even better at telling travel stories — teen style.
Final Words (for now)
If you’ve ever watched, liked, commented, subscribed, or just scrolled through the bloopers — THANK YOU. Seriously.
This has been such a cool journey so far, and I’m beyond grateful for everyone who’s supported this project. Let’s see where the next 25 take us.
Catch you in the next one!
