Marriott Hotels usually have a familiar full-service feel: comfy rooms, the signature Marriott vibe, and, at some properties, M Club or Concierge Lounges that can make a huge difference for Bonvoy members. But every property is still different. Some have amazing lounges and easy HDMI access, while others have older rooms, slower Wi-Fi, or tricky console setups.

Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center – Augusta, Georgia
This large downtown Augusta convention hotel turned into one of the biggest surprises from my Epic Summer 2025 Road Trip. With a huge upgraded suite, indoor and outdoor pools, a hot tub, strong staff hospitality, a useful Concierge Lounge, and direct access to the Augusta Riverwalk, it worked way better for a teen and family stay than I expected. The property is massive and takes a little time to figure out, but the location, amenities, and people made this one This Teen Travelz Approved.

Toronto Airport Marriott Hotel – Toronto, Ontario
Canada’s first-ever Marriott hotel (opened in 1986) is still evolving — and the recent renovations show it. With a bright atrium-style pool, one of the strongest M Club Lounge experiences I’ve had, easy HDMI gaming setup, and unbeatable proximity to Toronto Pearson Airport, this is more than just a layover hotel. Wi-Fi wasn’t leaderboard-fast, but overall this iconic airport Marriott balances comfort, convenience, and history really well.

Buffalo Marriott at LECOM HARBORCENTER – Buffalo, New York
This full-service Marriott stands out for its unbeatable waterfront location and fast Wi-Fi that ranks in the Top 5 on my leaderboard. Instead of a pool, you get two NHL-regulation ice rinks, easy access to Canalside, and a solid M Club Lounge — making it a unique, teen-friendly pick for events, hockey weekends, and city getaways.

Buffalo Marriott Niagara – Amherst, New York
Recently renovated and much improved, this Buffalo-area Marriott delivers clean, modern rooms, strong Wi-Fi, and an easy gaming setup with USB-C and HDMI access. The standout upgrade is the brand-new M Club lounge with legit hot food and a comfortable layout, plus a seriously impressive gym and tons of nearby shopping and dining.

Pittsburgh Marriott City Center – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
A downtown location right next to PPG Paints Arena sounds great, but this hotel is showing its age. The Deluxe Double Room had worn-out mattresses and dated design, Wi-Fi ranked near the bottom of my leaderboard, and the gym felt hot and musty. The highlights were friendly staff, good food at Steelhead and the lounge, plus city views—but overall, not This Teen Travelz Approved.

Raleigh Marriott Crabtree Valley – Raleigh, North Carolina
This wasn’t even in the plan, but it turned into a surprise win. Clean rooms, strong Wi-Fi, a seasonal pool, and one of the best Concierge Lounges I’ve been in. The location across from Crabtree Valley Mall makes it extra convenient.

Kingston Marriott – Kingston, Ontario
Brand-new (opened late 2024) and one of my top teen picks. Elite Wi-Fi and gaming setup with USB-C and HDMI ready to go, allergy-friendly floors, and the best M Club Lounge I’ve ever visited. Bonus: it’s right downtown, close to shops, food, and the waterfront.

Charlotte Marriott SouthPark – Charlotte, North Carolina
Great location for shopping and food with SouthPark Mall steps away. Wi-Fi was fast, rooms were clean, but console hookup was a no-go thanks to wall-mounted TVs. M Club Lounge was small but a nice perk for snacks.

Auburn Hills Marriott Pontiac – Pontiac, Michigan
A personal favorite from years of family stays. Wi-Fi works great, suites allow for easy gaming, and the member lounge snacks (gummy bears!) always hit. Breakfast has slipped compared to pre-COVID days, and summer A/C could be stronger, but the location near Great Lakes Crossing and Somerset Collection keeps it in rotation.

What I Look for in Marriott Hotels Teen Reviews
When I review Marriott Hotels, I’m not just looking at the room. I’m paying attention to the full stay experience from a teen and family travel perspective.
That includes Wi-Fi speeds for streaming, homework, gaming, and uploading content. I also check Nintendo Switch and HDMI setup, pool and gym areas, lounge spaces, room comfort, outlet access, lighting, workspace setup, breakfast, nearby food, and whether the location makes sense for road trips, airport stays, sports weekends, shopping, or city exploring.
For me, a great Marriott Hotel is not just about being polished. It has to be comfortable, convenient, and actually useful for the way families and teens travel.

Marriott Hotels can be great for teens, especially when the property has strong Wi-Fi, easy HDMI access, a good pool, a useful gym, walkable food options, and a lounge or lobby space where families can hang out. Some Marriott Hotels are better than others, which is why I review each stay from a teen perspective.

So far, the best Marriott Hotels lounge I’ve visited is at Kingston Marriott. The M Club Lounge had a great setup, strong food options, and an overall experience that stood out compared to other Marriott lounges I’ve visited.
Which Marriott Hotel had the best Wi-Fi?
Wi-Fi rankings can change as I test more hotels, but Buffalo Marriott at LECOM HARBORCENTER has been one of the strongest full-service Marriott Hotels on my Hotel Wi-Fi Speed Leaderboard. I track download speed, upload speed, and ping so travelers can compare hotels more easily.
Are Marriott Hotels good for gaming?
Some Marriott Hotels are good for gaming, but it depends on the room setup. Hotels with easy HDMI access, USB-C ports, strong Wi-Fi, and TVs that are not locked down are much better for gaming. Wall-mounted TVs or hotel entertainment systems can make console setup harder.
Do all Marriott Hotels have M Club Lounges?
No, not every Marriott Hotel has an M Club Lounge or Concierge Lounge. Some properties have excellent lounges, while others may not have one at all. When a lounge is available, I include it in my review because it can make a big difference for families and Marriott Bonvoy elite members.
What makes a Marriott Hotel teen-friendly?
A teen-friendly Marriott Hotel usually has fast Wi-Fi, easy gaming setup, a good pool or gym, comfortable rooms, useful outlets, nearby food, and a location that makes the stay more fun or convenient. I also look at whether the hotel feels relaxing, modern, and easy to use during a family trip.

Some Marriott Hotels work really well for convention stays, especially when they are connected directly to a convention center. Augusta Marriott at the Convention Center is a good example because it has two towers, meeting space, onsite food, lounge access, two pools, and direct access to the Augusta Riverwalk.

Final Thoughts on Marriott Hotels Teen Reviews
Marriott’s flagship hotels are usually reliable, but they still have their surprises. Some have amazing lounges, strong Wi-Fi, and easy console setups. Others are older, harder for gaming, or more useful because of location than the room itself.
