Courtyard by Marriott Hotels – Teen Hotel Reviews

Courtyard is all about practical rooms, decent gyms, and The Bistro—plus the occasional surprise like an infinity pool or waterslide. Here’s my teen take on Courtyards I’ve stayed at so far, with Wi-Fi notes, gaming setup, and nearby food/activities.

Courtyard Bridgeport Clarksburg – Bridgeport, West Virginia

A clean and spacious overnight stop with friendly check-in and an easy location right off the highway. The room was comfortable and larger than expected, but the hotel’s older design and extremely slow Wi-Fi made the stay tough for gaming, streaming, and schoolwork. The indoor pool and gym were basic, and the outdoor patio was a nice surprise, though some furniture showed wear. With walkable food options nearby, it’s convenient — but overall, this Courtyard needs updates before it earns a teen-friendly stamp of approval.

Courtyard Erie Bayfront – Erie, Pennsylvania

Resort vibes on the water with an outdoor infinity pool, indoor pool/hot tub, and walkable restaurants. Wi-Fi and console hookup were easy; I just wished for a bigger TV and more outlets.

Courtyard Detroit Warren – Warren, Michigan

Friendly staff and an active pool, but this property feels dated. Slow check-in, limited outlets, and a long trek to the lone elevator. Wi-Fi was fine; overall not Teen Travelz Approved.

Courtyard Kingston Hwy 401/Division – Kingston, Ontario

Reliable road-trip stop with solid Wi-Fi, easy Switch hookup, and a weekend waterslide at the pool. Rooms are clean but starting to show age; Landmark Cinemas across the street is a win.

Courtyard Alexandria Old Town/Southwest – Alexandria, Virginia

Best for D.C. access—a 5-minute walk to the Eisenhower Metro. Old TV (ironically great for console hookup), no pool, tiny bathroom, but Wi-Fi worked and Wegmans nearby saves mealtime debates.

Courtyard Montréal Brossard – Brossard, Québec

Huge suite upgrade, warm indoor pool, and tons of food/shopping at Solar Uniquartier/DIX30. Wi-Fi speed was the weak spot; Switch setup was plug-and-play with outlets/USB right at the TV.
